  If you're looking for delicious pork broth and thin noodles, this is your ramen spot!
  Yu-Raku gets overshadowed by some of the more popular ramen spots in the area but it's still one of the solid contenders in the San Mateo ramen scene.
  Stop by and try the tonkotsu ramen and the potstickers!

  The best tonkotsu ramen I have ever had. The broth is so delicious. Their fried rice and gyoza are delicious as well, and wash it down with a ice cold suntory malt.

  Came here for family dinner on a Windy Saturday evening a couple min past opening time and before the rush. We were seated right away, thank God! I don't think we would have been able to wait for as long as some people did, given that we had 2 toddlers in our party.
  
  The restaurant itself was about the size of other ramen spots, with several tables. The food was ok. The Yu Raku ramen looked really good but was very spicy! The Tonkatsu Ramen was ok. The broth was def on the oilier size, but it was flavorful! The karaage was nice and crispy(as my sister had requested for) but it really wasn't worth the price!
  
  There are only 2 waitresses, probably a family owned joint, and they weren't on top it unfortunately! We waited sometime for ice water refills, they never came by to give us an update on our food (Yu Raku ramen came in last- maybe about 10 min after I everyone else got their Ramen), and they took even longer to charge our credit cards and bring us a couple take out boxes!

  Solidly average noodles here.
  
  I came for dinner on Saturday and there were plenty of empty tables.
  
  Champon - pretty expensive at $16 and not too much seafood. Nice fresh noodles, but maybe not worth the price.
  
  Tonkotsu ramen - this was fine. The fresh noodles are the best part, they are a thinner style noodle. The broth is so opaque in a way that makes me wonder if they add some dairy?? It doesn't seem like a color that would occur only from boiling pig parts, and the flavor is not as deep and developed as I would like.
  
  Overall, just ok.

  Service was friendly and attentive so I feel bad writing this but I wish someone had warned me before I went...
  
  Tonkatsu ramen had good flavor but the prices are bit steep for the portion size. $13.50 for two thin slices of pork, half an egg, and noodles in broth.
  
  My husband got the eggplant pork with onion and it had 4 thin slices of pork. Portion was small and cost almost $15.
  
  Unfortunately will not be returning. Our hopes were high but we're disappointed.
